Transportation of goods and materials is an important part of the Canadian and U.S economy. Truck drivers provide an essential service, working day or night, traveling to and from retail, distribution centers, or manufacturing plants to pick up and deliver their goods safely and on time. A truck driver uses basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) on a daily basis to calculate distance, height, weight, and to complete logs and reports.
